Boot problem - showing app update and then blank

I have a 13-RQ0278E-UK 7in Unit with 3G (ASIN B01N2G2A6P) bought on Amazon on 27/3/2017.
It has been working fine until June this year, when I think it may have started to do an update, while in the garage (on Wifi).
I just see the screen display in the attached photo. It lasts for several minutes, and then the screen goes blank. I try powering up again and exactly the same thing happens. [img]Pumpkin%20%2013-RG0278E%20problem.jpg[/img]
Please could you help me get out of this loop - maybe software boot from latest version?
