Display very dark when car light is on

Hello,
I recently bought a Pumpkin RQ0367 (Android 5.1 for VW) and I have several problems with the device. The device is connected via the CANBUS adapter to my car.

When I switch on the car light, the key illumination goes on (which is fine), but at the same time, the display brightness is dimmed down. The display is getting much too dark and is hardly readable during the day. The display brightness setting is already set to the maximum level.
I understand the idea of dimming the display at night to avoid getting dazzled, but when driving with the light switched on during the day, dimming the display is a very bad idea.

Is there a way to control the display brighness when car lights are switched on?

Sorry for the inconvenience brought to you.
Normally the display brightness will be dimmed down only when you switch on the car headlight, but as we know, the car light was rarely used during the day. If you need to switch on the car light under some special circumstance, the dimmed display may trouble you.
We got a new firmware from the factory, the factory said that it could improve the display brightness, here is the link for your unit RQ0367.

Hi Jammy,
two days ago you provided me a new firmware that solves the ELM328 reboot issue (see viewtopic.php?f=8&t=712&e=1&view=unread#unread). Does this new link to the firmware for solving the light brightness issue also include ELM328 fix? Can you please check and confirm.

Hi,
When we got the new firmware and install it to check the display screen brightness, it did improve the display screen.
And the factory said that it could improve the display screen, but there may be difference between different system version.

you are not answering my question. I believe that this firmware improves display brightness, but the question is whether it introduces again the OBD2-Reboot bug, which has just recently been fixed. Can you please answer this question.

To install it, just copy update.img, which is the file you download, to an emty sd card into the root directory. Then, boot your device and insert the sd card into the GPS sd card slot. Then, you can update your device via the respective settings menu item.
