13-RQ0278E-UK Problem

I purchased a 13-RQ0278E-UK from Amazon on 14 March 2017 and had it installed 3 days ago. After installation I noticed that there were problems with the RDS radio functions and missing text on the radio station info, but other than that, it has been pretty trouble free until today, when, whilst listening to FM Radio and using Waze GPS, the radio reception stopped all of a sudden. I had to go to the radio app to get the radio signal to come back on....I never thought anything of it until I arrived home and turned the ignition off and removed the key.

To my surprise the unit stayed on with the radio playing and Waze still showing. The external buttons on the unit were unresponsive, I could not turn the unit off nor the volume down. After 10 mins of trying, I had to disconnect the car battery in order to power off the unit.

I am hoping that this is a 'one off' occurrence, but wanted to ask if this happens again, is there a method of forcing a shutdown if the buttons become unresponsive? The touch screen still worked but not the buttons on the unit.

I would have expected that the power would be cut once the key is removed, which has happened each time until today.

The install is in a Honda Jazz 2003 and does not involve any canbus. The unit is plugged into the cars wiring adaptor using the supplied connector and an ISO to Honda adaptor.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the trouble caused.
Could you please flash the unit with the below firmware and mcu to check?

Please download both the firmware and mcu through your browser, just copy the file into an empty (micro)SD card, make sure the file is in root of the card.(ie, when you open the card, the file is directly located there)
Then please insert the sd card with the firmware file and mcu into the GPS slot.
The unit will recognize the update firmware automatically and pop out a dialog, choose "wipe data and format flash", then click Install, the unit will finish the update after a few minutes.
After the firmware updating, then go to the settings--about tablet to click MCU update.

If this does not help, maybe the mainboard of the unit has problem.
