RQ 0278E died

Postby Sergey » Tue May 16, 2017 5:11 pm

Hello! Today my Pumpkin RQ0278E died. After I turned on ignition key it shown the screen "power off" and shutted down. I tried "reset" button, tried to disconnect battery, it's not helped.
What should I do to make my device work?
Usually android devices has a combination of keys to turn on the device from deep sleep. Is my Pumpkin have such combination too?

Unfortunately, the attempt to update the system failed. I pressed power button for 3 minutes, nothing happened. I think this is enough to understand that the device does not work.

Hi,
you also can try this way:
First long press the power button. After the unit turn off,you use a thin stick stick the RST hole. After 3s,loosen the power button and short press it again. Then wait to see the recovery page.
You can refer this video.

Hi,
For your situation, you can ignore the word 'after turn off".You just need to long press the power button, and then stick the reset button. When you see the screen light up, you can loosen the power button and short press it again.

Sounds like my unit.

Ii haven't used the car for some days, when starting the car today there was no response from the radio. It was completely dead, so I suspected that there was a blown fuse, but no.

The fuse are OK. I measure 14.4 V on both sides of the fuse to the chassis of the radio, and also 14.4 V to the red, yellow and orange wire connected to the radio. (I am an electrical engineer so I know how to do proper measurements...)

I have tried to hold the power button for some time, press the reset switch and so on, but nothing happens. No sound, no light, no nothing. It is just a dumb metallic box with some wires attached, with serial number DCE1611C61.
