WiFi problems?

Hi,
I recently ordered this head unit (eBay number: 312044116716) - Can't really distinguish an actual model?
After installing the head unit in my Mitsubishi Colt everything seems to have installed fine...
However, I am having problems with my WiFi. I placed the antenna under the dashboard, which doesn't seem to be the problem, as I can see lots of available networks, and our home one I can connect to and get full bars (strong signal) when connected. It appears with "Connected" however I still can't access any internet facilities.
This has led me to believe it might be a software issue. In which I can't access the internet with this head unit.
I have been successful in installing APK's for applications from a USB stick... However logging into Spotify, and downloading offline maps in Waze isn't possible without internet access.
After testing the head unit every other function works fine, Bluetooth, FM/AM, GPS, etc.
However, I am new at all this; and might be missing something simple.
Please help,
Thanks in advance,
Rob.

Hi,
your unit is CN10-02307 .
About the internet issue, i suggest you try to connect other wifi source such as the hot spot from your phone.
If it still doesn't help ,you can use an thin stick to click the RST hole/button on the left bottom to reboot the unit completely.
Regards

Hi Jammy,
Thanks for the quick reply...
I have tried connecting to my phones hotspot, other peoples wifi and even restaurant wifi with no success.
I have also tried pressing with the RST button to no success...
Finally, I have downloaded the flash files from the firmware topic of this forum, that you have put for the model stated above, after flashing this has similarly not fixed the problem...
Thanks again for the quick reply,
Many thanks,
Robert.

However, here is the latest firmware(version:20180330) for your unit.

Hi everyone,
After going through a rather unhelpful customer support they advised that I returned the unit.
However Pumpkin themselves would not directly take returns, and so I would have to return the unit to the eBay seller, before the seller then sends the unit off for returns. However with 6 week shipment times I was looking at nearly half a year waiting for returns.
The last couple of weeks have seen me trying to come up with workarounds for this faulty unit. Including mirroring software, and even trying to put a router in the car! However I was recently bought onto the idea of tethering...
Since I had connected the supplied USB port I used USB tethering between my phone and the unit. Lone behold I could now connect to my homes Wi-Fi no problem.
In summary, buying off an untrusted eBay seller to save £15-£20 isn't always the best idea. If your unit does have a faulty Wi-Fi antenna then using tethering can fix that.
Hope this helps,
Robert.
