Radio Reception very bad

Hello guys,

i bought the 6,95" GPS Radio from Amazon before 3 Month. Until yesterday i only heard MP3 music.

I experienced major issues with the radio reception,
because it's very noisy and weak.

I tried it in 2 different cars with the same result.
The antennas are correct connected to 12V.
I am an electronics engineer, so iam experience with those things.

I tried different images, but the reception was still far from good. More noise than signal.

I could change the Mainboard if you send me one.
An alternative would be to send me a free DAB module, since my car has an active DAB antenna mounted.

Hoping for a fast solution

Hi,
Did you mean that the unit display screen was black but you heard sound from MP3 music?
And could you please tell us if you contacted with my amazon customer service colleague and your were promised to get a new main board replacement?
The radio reception is easy to be interfered by other factors, just as you can see from this forum about how to improve the radio reception.

thanks for the quick response.

The issue is simply a very poor reception, regardless where i am. 70%Noise and 30% Signal.

The antenna is new and the connections are good.
If i connect another radio, the reception is perfect.

As i said, iam very experienced in hf electronic behaviors.

No, i didn't contact Amazon yet, because i thought its better to ask you before.
The order message said that the unit was sended direct from you.

The possible reason in the link are all checked, but the reception is still bad.

Hi,
For the poor radio reception, I believe there is problem on our unit, maybe the anti-noise part does not perform as what we expect.
We sold many same kind units and the poor radio reception problem rarely happens.
So if you don't mind, please contact our customer service to get a new replacement.

I have read alot that these Pumpkin radio units have an issue with the antenna connector,so maybe you have to fiddle with the antenna pull it in or out a little bit,Mine works perfect,I pushed it in all the way the antenna wire from the vehicle.How old is your vehicle?If its old I would try and replace the antenna.I get local and DX stations like it should.Nothing to do cartwheels over but its good.
In New jersey by NYC 10 miles away, I get all NYC stations perfect and some stations out of Poughkeepsie and Mt Kisco (50 miles+ away)
No booster,just the stock Ford antenna that has black paint on it.
