Wifi not turning on

According to my radio, it is a model s07 Android radio running android 4.4.4. Just recently, the wifi decided it will not turn on. I ended up buying a TL-wn823n wifi toggle as I read in another topic that that will work. I plugged in into the USB port. It will not work. Of course, I just plugged in a USB with music on it, and the device will no longer recognize that either, which makes sense why the usb wifi adapter did not work. Any suggestions?
