I've been struggling with this unit for a few months, after getting it professionally fitted (needed an amp adapter and an antenna adapter) I've had many annoying issues, all I suspect software related but now I've run out of ideas and found this place so here goes, HELP please!

I have an iPhone (not my choice) and I use the 'personal hot spot' tethering, it works fine with my Android tablet but with the Pumpkin the process is flaked, it often requires resetting both the Pumkin and the iPhone. It often connects but shows no signal strength, even though the iPhone is right next to the Pumpkin.

Easyconnect phone mirroring doesn't work, tells me to update it but then sends me to a Chiese website with no translation so I have no clue what to do there.

Starting Google maps can take as long as 10 minutes, with frequent crashes - 'Google Maps has stopped working', it makes no difference if you close it or ignore it, the app takes the same age to start. When I get it started, it generally runs fine.

The unit often freezes, touching the screen has no effect, pressing the buttons has no effect, it generally seems to right itself after a few minutes.

The radio is very patchy, losing the station and occassionally cutting out entirely, the route I travel is the same as before I installed the Pumpkin and there are no real poor reception areas, the stock radio worked fine. I can't see How to check for updates and started looking for another app (haven't found one yet).

The music player just stops whilst playing, no error messages, no feedback, it just stops. When I restart it, it goes back to where i started listening.

Often, whilst playing music, I see an error that a music file cannot be read but it's a file that has previously played OK and will often play again without issue.

I often get an SD card issue, even though it's still seated, the Pumkin tells me it's been removed, it hasn't.

I'm happy to work through the issues but there are so many I do wonder if there is something fundamentally wrong with tge unit I have .

When it works, it's really good but it never works for long, I never have a journey without an issue of some sort.

For the wifi problem, did the unit also unable to connect other wifi or hot spot ?
For the mirror link problem, here is the latest version which support up to ISO 10.2 or android 7.0.

I've tried the WiFi with an android phone and the same thing happens.

Radio - AF was not engaged, it was just out of the box with no settings changed, I just scanned, it found Radio 2 and I went with that!

I'll have a try with the mirror link and see what happens, will report back.

The music app just randomly stops, it happens whilst driving and there is nothing to show on a video - driving along, music playing, driving along music not playing - no error message, no warning, nothing.

I can't predict these errors so I can't take a video when driving. I'll see if I can update mirror link and the firmware - are there instructions for this please, the link just points to a large .img file but what do I do what that file?

The biggest issue is the crazy slow start up with Google maps, it falls over and fails several times before it is usable - it's the main reason I bought he unit so it's the major disappointment.

OK, here's the latest.
I tried to update the firmware but the update failed. I deleted the image file and downloaded it fresh, formatted the ad card and out the fresh download on it, the update failed again.

And finally, here is the WiFi issue info, the image shows my iPhone, called 'jPhone' connected but showing no signal. It connected OK at the start of the journey then about 45 mins in I noticed Maps was not inline, I was able to pull over and saw that the Pumpkin had dropped the WiFi connection. I turned Pumpkin WiFi off and on again, it re-established the connection and kept for about another 1 hour before the same thing happened. I took the pictures with the same iPhone, 6S running iOS version 11.0.3 (15A432), it's model number is MKQJ2B/A

I'll have to check the details of the Android phone when my wife comes home with it!

Apologies for the images being turned 90 degrees, the forum software seems to do that and I don't know how to correct it!
