Shut down Problem (with sporadic startup / shutdown cycles)

Postby rymbolc » Mon Sep 19, 2016 12:18 pm

Dear PUMPKIN-Support.

I bought a new 11-RQ0422E Radio for my Opel ASTRA H 2006 a few days ago. But there is an issue with the start / stop procedure. Under normal operation the radio should switch on when I start the engline (or to be precise -> If the key is in the last position before starting the engine). BUT: It´s only starting once, if you connect it "fresh" to the car -> Reconnecting the whole main port at the back.

The problem is, that it is shutting down again after running a few seconds. And it is not starting anymore if I turn the key to the right position - Or if I try to start it manually over the power button on the front (even while the motor is running). Sometimes it is still turning on and shutting down after a few seconds. But that is not happening in fixed time frames (it is happening sporadicly).

Do you have a solution for this behaviour?
Is there maybe a problem with the CAN-bus decoder?
Or do I need to re-route one of the connections?

Thank you and have a nice day.

Kind regards

rymbolc

Could you please tell us your order number or buyer ID?
Regarding your issue, would you mind modify the wire to check? Here is a picture for your reference.

If the unit will not shutting down, it should be the canbus decoder problem.
We can send you a new canbus decoder and the power cable to you.
If the problem still happens, sorry that it should be the unit problem.
Please contact the seller or our customer service to get a replacement.
Regards

I ordered it over Amazon -> Order id 305-1348821-3193965

Btw.: We tested out the bridge inbetween the red (ACC+) and yellow (Batt+).
It´s starting now correct - But it´s not sensing anymore the car-key / not shutting down anymore.
(Because of the bridging of the two pins ...)

Btw.: Also the wheel controls are not working.
So it seems like the decoder has a problem.

Is there a more actual CAN bus-decoder version than hardware v.1 and software v.1 available?
Or is it a common problem (that they are not working sometimes)?

It would be great to get the full functionality.
(As otherwise you always need to switch it on / off manually.
And the missing wheel-controls are also quite annoying ...)

P.s.: Is the internal GPS antenna compatible to the GPS module (over an adapter)?
Or is it mandatory to use the original GPS receiver (which is included in the package)?

Have a nice day.
And THX for your support!

Hi,
It should the canbus decoder problem, you can contact the amazon seller to get a new one.
Or write to "support@autopumpkin.com"
Normally the new canbus decoder will be ordered from the factory and shipped from China.
Sorry for the time you may have to wait.
About the GPS antenna, the inside is compatible with the GPS module, and the outside GPS antenna come with the unit can be replaced with the same kind GPS antenna if it's broken.

Hello,
in the month of october 2016 I purchased from eBay store CoolPumpkin, radio (Pumpkin 7inch Android 5.1 Quad Core 1.6GHz GPS Car Stereo DVD Player for Opel Support DAB + / Steering wheel control / 3G / Wifi / Bluetooth / Online-Video Output) Model 11-RQ0421E.
For several weeks it happens sometimes that by inserting the ignition key, the radio will not turn on in any way. Investigating I found that the cause of the malfunction is the fault (Can Bus Decoder KLD 20160811 for Opel HW: SW V1: V1), probably defective.
You can order a Can Bus Decoder again, and what is its price?
Best regards

Hi,
Regarding your issue, if you connect the red and yellow wire together and the unit would turn on, it should be the canbus decoder problem.
Please contact our ebay customer service or tell me the ebay buyer ID.
You just need to pay 38USD to get a new canbus decoder, including the shipping cost.
Regards
