The TomTom Go navigation App can not install on my Pumpkin Radio

Hi,
I try to install the App TomTom Go for Android and fails.
On my Samsung Tablet manage that without any problems.
I set up the install preference to SD Card and also to Flash memory.

There is a very simple possibility to test this App by your technican.
Go to google play store and search for "tomtom go mobile".
Then install the App "TomTom GPS Navigation Traffic"
A license is not needed, This is a free App.
Your technicans can then see what is going wrong.

First the installation of the App is going ok. The Wi-fi signal is good.
If you then start the installed App "TomTom Go", things go wrong.
The App stops With "Can not connect to TomTom Please check your Wi-Fi signal on your Fone"
Do you install this App on a Tablet like Samsung you can see the difference.

I have contacted TomTom Support Center.
The installation of the app automatically installs to the largest free memory, internal or external.
They have no solution for this problem

Please help.

Hi, about the TomTom, sorry that this unit did not work with the TomTom app, and we have preinstalled the free testing maps from the factory, you can use it. If you don't like it, you can use the online maps, such as google map and waze, hope you can understand.

Interesting to know the limitation. Have used a TomTom GPS many years and know it is a great product. Have you tried Desnav? If TT is not working on Pumpkin, for me it could be an alternative and very interesting to know.

I have a license of TomTom Go Traffic and I would like that it works on my Pumpkin radio.
I have contacted TomTom Support Center.

Furthermore, I have fore a test the Apps Navigon-Navigator and also the HERE-Navigator installed
and have found that both programs the external SD card of the Pumpkin not recognized.
TomTom is not the only App with problems on the Pumpkin.
My Samsung Tablet recognized the external SD card though these tests.
I think the other memory structure of the Pumpkin is causing the problem.
Even if I move Apps from internal to the external SD card (GPS card) is there nothing installed.
If I do it by my Samsung Tablet on the external SD Card is there a folder "android" containing the installed apps.
Is it possible that with an update of the firmware these problems are solved by the Pumpkin technicians so that he works like a Samsung Tablet

I have also attempted to install Tom Tom on my head unit (KD-C0357) and have been successful installing the software.

The problem came when when trying to download the maps. I want able to use my mobile data as my mobile is limited. I tried downloading the maps on my phone using my Wi-Fi at home and transferring the maps on to an SD card and transferring this to the head unit.

So far I have not figured out how to link the downloaded Tom Tom software on my head unit with the maps on my SD card.

Please can you explain how to connect to the Tom Tom programme with the maps loaded on the SD card?

This is supposed a tutorial at the bottom of the page explaining how to install the maps to the Sat Nav programme from an SD card, but unfortunately is missing.

Please can you check and see if there is another tutorial you can add?

Hi, for installing the Tomtom on the unit C0537, you need to insert the sd card into the GPS slot, then enter the OEM on the unit and find the TomTom app from the sd card, try to install it. You may need to connect the wifi or hot sport to make the TomTom work.
