The unit is constantly restarting / powering off and getting stuck in a boot loop. Sometimes you can get in to the recovery console by long pressing the power button - but most of the time it just sits there with a black screen (buttons have power/colour and dashboard panel says "WELCOME!!!!"). Sometimes it will sort itself out straight away, other times it has to be rebooted (if you can get into the menu!), sometimes it needs to be completely reset (all data deleted & caches wiped) before it behaves again.

Considering I bought this to use as a bluetooth handsfree device - it's utterly useless at the minute.

please also tell me the screen resolution of the unit.
If you can't confirm the screen resolution,you can take a picture of the setting page like following picture to us.

Thanks for this, I've installed the latest firmware, but it's still not working as expected - it still randomly switches off and become unresponsive - rendering the unit completely useless.

Please advise on the next steps before I contact trading standards.

Hi,
so, you can contact the customer service where you bought the unit to send you an android board. You need to change it but it isn't difficult.

I've tried contacting them (Pumpkin) through Amazon to get this resolved, but have had no luck.

Will never be buying another of these units as the entire experience from start to finish has been awful at best.
