CN02-02205B - 3g Modem requirements

Hello,

I'm a new owner of the pumpkin CN02-02205B car stereo. I've already got my steering wheel controls, XM radio, Reverse Camera all hooked up. Now I'd like to go ahead and add a 3G/4G Modem. I have AT&T and I'd like to use them. I saw somewhere that it had to be CDMA? Is that true? I may also just go for a mobile hotspot, but most of those dont seem to power on and off with the car, I dont want it running on batteries til it dies, only to start charging when I start the car again.

I have found zero information about the requirements anywhere. Please assist!!

Hi,
our unit only support the sim card which is 3G WCDMA format.
You can contact the customer service where you bought the unit to buy an 3g dongle.

Well I bought it on amazon, who sells all kinds of 3g dongles. So I need to either find a wcdma dongle (and then be restrictred to the carriers that support it), or just find a 3g hotspot that will work correctly in a car, so I can use the carrier I want.

Ok strike that. Can you point me to a compatible dongle? I could go around in circle on Amazon for days.
