Questions about model CN01-02306B-08A-US3-FBA

I recently purchased model CN01-02306B-08A-US3-FBA from Amazon and have it installed and working great in my 2005 Ford F350, but I have some questions.

-This is an MTCD/PX3 device, so are there any root methods or roms available?

-Does Pumpkin have any software updates available for it?

-Is there any way to control music player if another app is being used? I often have music player playing mp3s from my usb flash drive, but I always have Torque Pro running so I can monitor my temps(very important on my truck) which means I have to switch back to music player every time I want to skip to the next track.

Hi,
the unit doesn't support root.
You can control the original music player skipping to the next track by the steering wheel control when you put the original music app on the background.

If you don't have steering wheel controls (an old car like mine) you can program the physical buttons on the radio with custom functions.

I've found it really useful setting a long press on the home button to be next track, and long press on the back button to be task list.

Do you have instructions to get steering wheel controls working on this head unit in my 2005 Ford F350 Crew Cab?

Also, do you provide a newer software update for this head unit?

If you go into the factory settings (password: 126) you can select what the hardware buttons do in the "Key Study" tab.

I set a long press on the home key to be "next track" and a long press on the back button to bring up the task manager and a long press on the power/volume to be mute. I haven't decided what to put on the Navi key yet.

This makes it much easier to use the radio while driving.
