Audi A3 2009 C1217 quit Rear sound

Postby Naxus » Mon Apr 18, 2016 11:53 am

Hello,

I have 2 problems. First that i must turn down the Volume of the front speakers to 15%, and turn up the main volume to 100%
so i hear the rear Speakers. The sub is also very quit.
Now i already read here in the forum that this is a knowing problem and you give a not acceptable solution.
When i buy a 400€ expensive radio that is called full compatible, i wont buy more Adapers that must fiddle unprofessional in.
My Audi a3 have a halfpartaktive audio system that have a amp for the sub and both rear speakers.
this is the normal build in system at Audi a3, so you can't say that i have a unnormal carbuild, that's a standard build.
The front system is connected directly with the radio, the back system via your cinch system .

The second issue is that when i turn off my engine (i do not pull out the key) the radio turn off. That's a bit annoying because when i stay on a trafficlight i dont want that my radio go off and need 20 seconds to restart and reseach all the
music.

Best regards
naxus

PS: sry for gramma/writing mistakes (German)

Hi, if you had already read the forum about how to solve the read speaker sound issue but think it was not acceptable, sorry about this, we will submit your issue to the factory and once we get a reply from them, we will post the solution to you.
About the radio turn off with your engine off, please check if your dashboard display screen will turn off when you turn off your engine. You can enter the Settings--extra settings to set the Shutdown delay when ACC OFF.

Then when you switch your key to ACC position and your dashboard display screen work, the unit will restart without restart the android system and it take a few second to turn on.

Thanks,
Yesterday i control all connectors, and none is missing. The amp for the rearsystem is activated.
So only the Powerlevel of the output can be wrong.

I already done this, its on 5 Minutes but with no success.
The Radio get the power on and power off signal via the canbus, but there are 2 possibilities, first when you
turn off the engine (thats what the radio do) and second when you pull out the key.
because of the fist one, i cant start the radio without the key so i need to turn on the ignition to hear Music
or watch a Movie. You know what happen when you let you ignition on for more an hour? right your Battery dies...
So do i have a chance to change something there?

Best regards

Hi, about the rear speaker volume issue, we had sent your video to the factory, once we get a reply from them, we will post it here.
About the unit turn off with your dashboard display, it's normal, as we said in the previous email, cause they are controlled by the same signal from the canbus system, hope you can understand.

Thank you, do you know how long this process will need?

No, the dashboard display dont turn off, as you can see on the vid. I can after the radio turns off go 2 Steps back. With ,pulling the key, its 3 steps. My original radio turn off at the last step, by pulling out the key. So when you say its controlled by he canbus system, then it shoud not be difficult for you to change the settings that it turns off by the signal from pulling out the key.

Hi, about the rear speaker, we will give you a reply next week. Could you please tell us the year of your Audi A3 and which power cable you used?
About the unit turn off when you put the key to ACC position, you can modify the red ACC wire, please cut it and connect the side to the unit to your ignition cigar positive pole, then the unit will turn off when you pull out of your car key.

Thank you.

My Audi is build 2008/Dec, but the facelift, so it is the 2009 build version.
I use the quadlock cable you deliverd.
Thanks for this tipp, but that does not work by my model, because my cigarunit is always on.

Best regards

Hi, could you please tell us your order number? This information is important for us to provide you best solution later.
Normally when you pull out your key, then the car cigar lighter power supply will cut off. You can use a multimeter to test the wire which control the cigar lighter.
You can also modify the red wire to your car ACC wire which switch on/off with your car key.
And could you please take a photo to show the canbus decoder information came with our unit and the power cable your used?
We have attached a picture for your reference.
