Hi,
The fact that the unit is able to recevice RDS stations and display the some station info means that the RDS function works.
Sometimes the station signal is no good and the unit might no show the info. You can refer to the following video i recorded today.

Where the numbers are (frequency) There should also be the RDS station.
No one can recognize the small one underneath.

I never want to fool you.Because i am a Chinese and not understand what you said well sometimes.As far as i know, the RDS station is different from the general station.The RDS stations is able to contain digital information and also display them.The station SZ87.80 and 91.80 shown on my above radio are RDS stations. I also find in your video that the station 87.5 is one of your RDS stations from the POP category.So i am net that what your RDS problem is.In fact,i don't understand well when you said "No one can recognize the small one underneath.
