Just bought the Pumpkin Android 7.1 quad core from a local car stereo dealer.

Pressed the RST button and now the player won't boot. Pressing the power button, the LEDs will light up but after a while will OFF again.

Had tried numerous steps even plugging out the ISO cable, press and hold Power button, plugged in ISO cable back, release Power button when LED flashing and short press Power again.

Nothing.

I chose pumpkin over joying because of the reviews but am very disappointed now.

Please help.

For this issue, you can flash the firmware according the following video.

Please download the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter settings - about devcie - system update.

Thank you for your reply.

I've already tried the steps as per the video that you've shared but the player simply won't boot in recovery.

This is what I observed,
1) no sound when pressing RST button
2) black screen no matter what steps i do to get into recovery
however, buttons light is up to indicate that the player has power.

Possible core board damage? (I read about core board damage symptoms on another forum)

you can contact the customer service where you bought the unit to change the android core board.
