Hi all,
I've been trying to get my Android based unit to remember the volume - its in the setting and I change it, but whenever I turn the unit back on it has reset itself to 12. Its obviously not the end of the world, but it would be nice to know if it is possible to set it how I want. This is in a Golf Mk 6 if that makes a difference.
Cheers.
Saving the volume in settings? (11-RQ0356E unit)

Hi, we tested the issue you said, and the result show that this unit can remember the volume.
And you reset the item to check, just use a sharp thin sticker to press the RST hole on front panel.

Hi Jammy, thanks for the reply. The thing is, it doesn't save here - it always goes back to 12. Would it be that you are using a more recent update than me?
I would welcome any suggestions.

Hi, you can send us the current system version in your unit, you can go to the Settings-->about machine to get this information.
If we have the new version, we can send it to you, then you can install it to check.

Re: Saving the volume in settings? (11-RQ0356E unit)
Hi again,
I looked in the "about this tablet" section of the settings but I couldn't see a current system version, but I found the following:
model No S07
MCU version MTCB-KLD6-V2-86
Kernel version 3.0.36+
Where you can touch "System Update" it comes up with the phrase, "It can't find an update"
All due respect to you and Pumpkin. Jammy, but I'm a bit doubtful that an existing update will fix the issue. I have a replacement unit from my previous one (which had a broken CD drive) the help team sent me several updates for that unit and it behaved exactly the same, the volume always defaulted to 12.
If you just turn the unit off and then back on, it will probably remember the last volume setting, but if you leave it off overnight it will go back to 12.
Given that its happened on the 2 machines I've had, I wonder of its a bug that should be addressed in a new update.
I would be interested to hear your thoughts. Thanks.

Hi, if you want to update the unit, you need to get the firmware from us.
But as you said, we also test it, the udpate does no help to save the volume settings when the android system reboot, just like you turn off and turn on the unit again overnight. That's the factory default design, now we don't have a way to change it, sorry about this.
But we will submit your issue to the factory and try to give you a proper solution.

Re: Saving the volume in settings? (11-RQ0356E unit)
Okay Jammy, thanks very much - its just that there is the Volume level in settings so it looks as if you were supposed to be able to set it to your own level and the system would remember. Will it be announced anywhere if they do include this in an update?
Thanks again,
