10.1 Android 5.1 head unit audio issues

Hi,

I've purchased a 10.1" Android 5.1 head unit and I'm having problems with the audio:

If I use the radio app or play a CD or DVD I can hear the audio fine.
If I use iGO I can head some jittery beeps and thats all. I tried changing voices and it's still the same.
If I try to play video or mp3 music off the microsd card via the video app or the music app the progress bar moves showing it's playing but I can't hear anything.
If I install Spotify or Play Music I still can't hear anything.
Going back to the radio or the CD player and I can hear them clearly.

I've tried reseting via the reset button, I've tried adjusting the factory settings and I've factory reset it. Still no joy. Any suggestions?

I bought it new through an E-Bay re-seller starstore88 . The model number on the side of the box is 11-RQ0265.

As you have requested, I've made a video of the problem and have uploaded it to Youtube. This is the first time I've uploaded a video to Youtube so I hope this works.

Hi, your ebay buyer ID would be appreciated.
According to the shown from your video, it may be the system bug, we need to send it to factory and they will check the reason why this problem happens and give us solution.
If it can be solved by a new firmware, we can send you the link to you.
If it's the android board or other parts problem of the unit, we can send a new one to you to solve it.

Could you please tell us if you used DVR on the unit RQ0265?
And please show us the current system version on the unit.

Hi,

If you mean by DVR a USB DashCam I have one connected but don't have an app to test it with (Is that what you mean by DVR?). I also have the DAB radio module connected but don't have an app to test it with either.

Please notice, when you click the system update, there will popup a remind, you need to choose clear all data, then after the unit finish updating, you will find a "DVR" icon and the screen, you can plug the DVR into the unit RQ0265 to use it.

Thank you for the update but I beleive this is the wrong image file.

I've downloaded and applied the upgrade twice but it has reduced the screen resolution to 800*480 and left the digitiser at 1024@600 making it very difficult to test. There are a couple of abort messages approxiamtely 2 mins 24 seconds in to the video.

Further update, I have managed to test Radio, DVR, music and video and the audio on these is now working, just the screen resolution is wrong and out of ratio with digitiser making it very difficult to use.
