Software issue on AS0272B unit

Software issue on AS0272B unit

Hi,

I have some software issue on my AS0272B unit (Payment Confirmation of Order 100002451). Anyone have any ideas how to cure them?

1. Cannot save launcher state when change icons. I want to remove the default video icon and put the voice search icon. Every time I turn it off it resets back to the video icon.
2. Cannot use the voice search to make calls. It doesn't dial. It will find the number and say calling and then do nothing. It is like it is not able to dial through the Bluetooth connection to the phone. I would try to reinstall but I can't delete the google voice search application as it is not listed in the settings like other applications.
3. Updating applications takes forever. If I link to my home wifi or via hotspot on my phone the unit takes about 30 minutes to update one application. It will not start downloading for ages and then it will not do the installing bit for a long time. A similar update on my smartphone takes about 15-20 seconds with the download.
4. The radio widget shows 87.5 when you turn the vehicle on. Then if you select the radio it will update the frequency.

I have updated the software following the link given by Jammy in a previous post searched for with the 'AS0272B' unit number (viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5860&p=16736&hilit=AS0272B#p16736). This made no difference. Would a new launcher make a difference?

Is there any update to Android 8.0 as this is on a stereo listed on the autopumpkin.co.uk site? I like the stereo but I don't like the bugs in the software.

Hi,
1.after you flash that firmware, the issue about the home page icon should be solved . Can your unit fast boot ? if not,you need to exchange the yellow wire and red wire back the unit.
2.the voice search app is unable to call through bluetooth. If you want to get this function,you can consider our association NA7005W .Here is an video for your reference.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xzr8hAcXBnE
3.i will react this problem to our engineer ,once we get any solution for this,i will notice you here.Could you mind show us an video about this to help us to recognize the problem well.
4. it like the issue 1, i think the yellow wire and the red wire should be exchanged so that the unit is unable to keep in memory.You can exchange them back.

Hi Jammy,

Thanks for the reply.

1. The unit does fast boot (i.e. is on after about 1-2 seconds from switching the power on). Does that mean I don't need to swap the yellow and red wire? Can you provide the apk file just for the launcher?
2. This is a major flaw as the majority of users will want to be able to interact with the unit via as few touches as possible whilst driving. If you have to use the bluetooth application to call then you are taking a risk as there is no search function for contacts quickly. The functionality of the NA7005W is something that should be part of the unit.

Another issue
5. The voice search app is extremely slow. It takes approx 5 to 10 times longer than my phone.

Hi,
you needn't exchange them.Could you check whether your Build number is 20180126 in the "about device" page ? I doubt that maybe you don't update the firmware successfully.
