Hi,
currently I have the unit CN10-02201B which has a panel size of 173x98mm. That's the largest panel size to fit in my front panel.
I'd like to get a newer head unit, but I can't find another head unit with same sizes. All are bigger.
Are there other head unit ready or planned with the panel size of 173x98? Preferably with android 8.

Re: New units with panel size (173 x 98)
Hi Jammy,
thank you for your response. As far as I know that's basically the same head unit as I already have, but with android 7.1 and 2 GB ram. But it still has the same issues I'm currently having with my head unit. Is that the only alternative?
Thank you.

Re: New units with panel size (173 x 98)
That's pretty unconvenient. I hope there will be new units with that panel size. It's the default 2 DIN Panel size, I don't understand why it's so hard to get head units with android with that size.
I'm having a few issues with the current unit.
- The unit is kind of slow, because 1 gb ram and the processor in the head unit are too weak. Even 2 gb ram is too little for android nowadays.
- I listen to music via bluetooth, but it's impossible to make the music start on boot.
- Everytime the unit connects to 3g it makes the bluetooth music stop. I have to switch back to the music player view, to make it start again.
- 3g sometimes randomly disconnects and reconnects with wrong apn. I have to unplug and plug in the 3g stick to make it work again.
Also the touchscreen is about 1cm deep in the panel, which makes it hard to reach the edges.
There might be more, but this are the issues I remember right now.

Re: New units with panel size (173 x 98)
There is one more issue I want to mention:
My car does not have automatic headlights, I have to turn them on and off manually. If I turn them on, the panel keys turn correctly on.
When I turn off my car/engine without turning off my headlights first, the panel keys will keep the lights on for the duration of the shutdown delay.
I have to turn on the ignition again, to make the light for the panel keys turn off.
Maybe your technicians can make an mcu update to fix that?

Re: New units with panel size (173 x 98)
Please issue more units with this panel size (173mm x 98mm). This seems to be standard in the UK.
