Hi I just purchased the unit and it installed nicely in my Nissan Frontier, the problem is with the wifi connection, it is very weak. I have the wifi antenna attached and lose on my dash and at first I was not seeing my wifi in my house. I set up an access point in my house about 10m from the truck and finally was able to see the wifi ssid and connect, but it is very slow and drops easily. I was able to install Wifi Analyzer on the head unit and it shows the wife strength less than -90dB while my Samsung S7 right beside my head unit shows -60dB, connects easily and is fast.
I've search the forum and have not seen information that helps. I saw your entry on wifi from 2016 but it didn't seem to apply.
Have you any ideas?
My order number was: 100008018
Thanks,
Ian

Re: AE0273B and poor wifi
Hi,
the car stereo connects to your phone hot spot and this mean the wifi module and antenna is OK. The 10 m distance between the wifi in the house to your car is too long a little.Hope your kind understandings.

Re: AE0273B and poor wifi
I have one of these units too, and the wifi receiver is unfortunately pretty weak on it. There is also maybe a small chance that the metal from / window tints / other stuff in the car is limiting the wifi signal coming in. As you say, having a wifi hotspot in the car is super fast, and it;s just exterior wifi signal that are an issue. To test this, test how strong teh signal is when you leave your Samsung S7 outside the car, and you may notice a big drop in signal received.

I wasn't quite clear, my Samsung was connected to the hot spot in the house with good reception right beside the head unit. About 30dB different. I'm thinking of getting a USB wifi dongle and see if that works better. I'll let you know.
