AE0273B-08D bluetooth - can pair but not play music

Hello,

I have an AE0273B, AliExpress order # 92324956823571, which in general is working well and I'm enjoying it. But I can't seem to stream music from a connected bluetooth device. I can pair, but then when I press the "music" button in the bottom-left of the bluetooth app, the music screen shows for about half a second and then the app closes down. I've tried this with 2 different phones and a tablet, and for all 3 devices it's the same - the head unit will pair no problem, but the bluetooth app shuts down when trying to stream music.

When I say the bluetooth app "closes down", I mean it's really closed - it's no longer in the list of running apps.

Any ideas?

you can try to flash the following firmware.

Please download the files to the root content of one sd card and insert it into the GPS slot.Then enter settings - system - system update.

I installed that update - it didn't do anything. Turned out it was the same version as what was already installed.

I found another thread here about bluetooth problems.

It was suggested perhaps a long mounting screw was causing a problem. I checked mine - no long screws.

Then I uninstalled my music app - PowerAmp

And bluetooth audio worked again! Go figure...
