I recently purchased a Pumkin RQ0264 that has
MCU version
MTCC-KLD6-V2.91
May 31 2016 19:54:14
Android Version
5.1.1
1024*600
Kernel version
3.0.101+
root@chun #42
Tue May 17 21:50:34 CST 2016
Build number
rk3188-userdebug 22062016.16:41:09
My question is that there is little information on XDA forums regarding the MTCC MCU's... Is my unit compatible with MTCB roms?

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi, about the MTCB roms, normally the factory don't allow to flash the unit with MCU from other places or root our unit at buyer side, cause it has risk of doing damage on our unit even if you have knowledge of the android system.
If you have problem, you can contact us and we will help you solve it.

Re: RQ0264 Question
I'm trying to get to the bottom of why my unit takes so long to boot. It's taking about 60 seconds. It goes through the car logo routine for about 30 seconds, then flashes up the desktop for about 3 seconds, then it goes back to the car logo for another 30 seconds...
Any ideas?

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi, it may have relation with the apps you installed on the unit, could you please enter the setting-->backup&reset-->factory data reset to restore the factory setting to check?
Normally our unit just take about 25-30 seconds to boot.
And cause the android 5.1 lollipop is our new released operation system, there are still something need to be improved.
If you agree, we can send you an old and more stable firmware which may decrease the boot time, then you can try to install it.

Re: RQ0264 Question
Yes. I would appreciate trying an older more stable firmware. That would be great.
Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi, thanks for your quick reply and understanding.
Here is the link of the more stable firmware.
https://mega.nz/#!MFcw0KZC!xlkrqN3E_v9G ... yYllst3oxc
Please download the firmware through the browser, copy the file into a micro SD card, then insert the SD card into GPS slot.
Enter the Settings-->about device to click the System update, then the unit will recognize the firmware file and update the system automatically.
Regards

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi Jammy,
The update installed OK and it did improve my boot time. But since the update my ODB2 adapter won't connect. It connected and worked fine before I installed the update you provided in the last post. So I know it's compatible with this head unit, but not this firmware.
The issue is that it doesn't ask me for a password when I connect to the ODB2 adapter.
Any ideas? Maybe I should go back to the original firmware? I'd rather a slower startup time than no ODB2...
Cheers,
David

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi, cause the firmware update will erase and clear up all the data before you used or installed, please try to follow the steps when you first connect the OBD2 adapter. The OBDD2 adapter password is 1234/0000, if you could not connect it via bluetooth on our unit, you can change the password through bluetooth menu, please reboot the unit to keep this password change setting.
Here is a tutorial video about how to connect the OBD2 adapter via bluetooth, hope some help.

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hello,
I have a MTCC-KLD6-V2.91 too.
Image quality is not good, it's like a very compressed JPEG, with noise around text, poor gradients.
Do you know what can cause this?
Here is an example taken when using Play Store:

Re: RQ0264 Question
Hi, could you please tell us your order number?
Regarding your issue, the attached picture does not seem good quality, but it's not clear and detailed for us to check.
Did all the images on the unit look poor gradients?
Would you mind take a short video, upload it to youtube, then send the link to us?
We will try to give you positive solution.
