Android Octa Core 7.1 issues

Ordered the Android Octa core 2GB stereo (Amazon order 206-7833642-9428318) for VW vehicle.

Couple of issues:

* Changing rudder from left to right does not change the image of the door being open for right hand side drive car.
* When entering reverse the stereo does not change image to the reverse camera.. I have camera hooked up ok and works via avi in but want it to change screen automatically when put into reverse. ( i had a previous pumpkin stereo where this worked fine)
* When starting it goes into advanced settings and i need to press home button to take it to home screen.
*Netflix and Android Auto not availible to install via google play - I get the alert that not compatible with this version of Android.

Is there a update that would resolve these issues?

1.you need to enter into extra settings(password 123456) and click the door

2.did you connect the CAM-LINE wire from the CAN BUS box to the cam-in wire from the back mic cable ?

About the android auto,our unit doesn't support this.

Hi - I have the doors sorted thanks.

regarding number 3 and the firmware. I have donwloaded the rar file and when unraring i see 5 or 6 files.. how do I update with these files?

Also how can I find my CAN type?

Hi,
about the firmware,you need to unrar files and place all files to the root content of one sd card/USB stick and insert the card into the GPS slot if you use sd card.
About the can type,you can choose the option "VW OBD(SS).....".

Hi jammy, thought I'd jump on this instead of opening another post about this head unit. I ordered via Amazon along with dab unit, order 204-6191888-9233967.
I can't change the door opening as i have a UK right hand drive. I have been in the extra settings and changed the door info but still shows opposite door opening. Can you provide a little more info on what is supposed to be changed in the door info ?

after setting the door info,you still need to reboot the unit to make difference.

Hi again jammy i have come across a few more issues which arnt major. I can not get the torque app to connect to my elm327. I have tried the preinstalled version and have also installed the paid app which gives error message stating it's unable to connect to obd?
The other issue is gps and nav, there us no navigation app installed or any sd card to put in the gps slot. I have installed copilot UK on which doesn't work and is also a paid for app which the play store states it doesn't support my device. Is there any navigation that actually works other than having to use Google maps ?
