How to get bluetooth apps working on these things
How to get bluetooth apps working on these things
My question is how to properly get apps that rely on a bluetooth connection to connect to phones etc and talk to each other. Some people have trouble with OBD ports not working. My thought is if you have your phone connected to the headunit via bluetooth any apps that require you have a connection to the phone as well via bluetooth wont work. What does the group think. Can you have a viable bluetooth connection to phone as well as app connection. I am running KitKat 4.4

Hmmm.... sorry, but I don´t get your question.
Can you give an example of what you are trying to do with which app?

Re: How to get bluetooth apps working on these things
Well I have the head unit talking to the phone via bluetooth. I also have an app called Tablet Talk that need bluetooth to show messages on the head unit from the phone, but even though it is saying it is connected, to the phone I assume, it isnt! I have tried the app with a regular tablet and phone and it works fine. I assume the problem is that the headunit is using bluetooth and the app also needs bluetooth at the same time and that may be the conflict. Does that make more sense.

I think I know what to try. Dont use the builtin Bluetooth app to make and receive phone calls as that is the only reason for that app for me. So I think I can use the A Tablet Talk to make calls as well and also show messages. That may be the way to go use the app for both.
