Hi,
about the android auto issue, that is normal. It is unreasonable for over two program/app using audio. For example, you were listening to music, and the music would stop if you start some apps which will also use audio such as DVD ,video .Hope your kind understandings.
About the hard reset, thanks your advice. There is an settings option " restore to factory settings " in the back up settings page making a same difference to hard reset .

Hi Jammy,
While trying different Navigation programs there are very large differences in volumes of the Navigation apps. Also the Radio portion of the unit is much louder than other audio. I would like to even out the different audio levels.. I found some setting in the factory settings that look like what I need to adjust. Some of the names do not directly match the names of the audio functions. Can you tell me what each one controls? Also what is the adjustment range of each one? I also see an Amplifier output adjustment. Does it control the overall volume output?

Hi,
for your unit, there is no tv, DVD and IPod function , so it make no difference to adajust these three option.
The system option points to the amplifier gain of the system sound such as key sound .
Similarly , the radio points to the amplifier gain of the radio sound, the BT points to the amplifier gain of the calling sound, the AV-in points to the amplifier gain AV-in video .
About the amplifier volume, i also don't understand it well . Normally you need not to set it .
In addition, some navi support adjust the volume in the app itself. So it is why the sound is different.

Hi Jammy,
I have tried quite a few online and offline GPS Apps. The only one I have found that works properly is Google Maps. You can download maps and use it offline. It will have basic sounds but it works well. If you have your phone connected to the Pumpkin Head Unit as a Mobile Hot Spot then Google Maps will work just as it does on your phone with all voices and features. The only problem I had was the volume level of the voice. The voice was to quiet while playing the radio. Google maps has 3 voice volume settings. It starts with the Normal level. I raised it to the High level, but then the voice was to loud when playing Music or Video. I went into the Factory Settings / Voice and lowered the radio level to 7. That has seemed to equal out the volume levels. Now when I have Google Maps voice level on Normal it works perfectly.
I also tried Tom Tom Go. I really liked that app and would have preferred to use it, but Tom Tom Go does not offer any volume adjustments and the volume of the voice is so low you can barely hear it with only the Tom Tom Go app on. It is a problem that many Tom Tom users have voiced to Tom Tom. Tom Tom says they have no plans to add a volume control, just go into your Android phone and raise the Media Slide to raise the volume. Some mentioned they need a volume control for Android car stereo units and Tom Tom said there will be no volume adjustment added.
I also tried Sygic GPS. This App has many downloads and is quite popular. Of all the GPS Apps I tried I found this to be the worst. The volume was so low it could not be heard. No volume adjustment. The overall look is low quality. The first 3 addresses I tried , it could not find. These were main street addresses that have been in the Miami / Fort Lauderdale area for at least 50 years. Every other GPS App found them. Maybe this App is good in other countries but not here in the USA.
Do you have any GPS Apps you would recommend? Any ideas on how to get the Tom Tom Go App volume louder?

Hi,
sorry that i pay no attention to that post.
and sorry again that the voice gain in the factory settings page doesn't help to the navigation sound volume in fact and i mislead you before.
For the navi sound , you need to enter settings - car settings - navigation page and adjust the navi sound rate (see picture).
