Not sure if anyone can help...
I bought a Pumpkin Android 7.1 Universal Quad Core unit (SKU:ND0288B) a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately thw unit does not update time after starting the engine. I have checked the power connections and thw yellow wire is connected to permanent 12V and the red one to 12V when switching on the ignition. Other settings appear to store, except for the time.
i have tried various combinations of the options to update the time via wifi and/or GPS but when I switch the unit back on in the morning it will display the time the unit was switched off the previous evening and never updates the time without intervention.
To get the unit to update the time I have to disable and then re-enable the GPS location service, after which the time updates itself after a few seconds.
If the unit does update the time on starting then it appears to do it before the GPS satellites hve locked. Surely it should check at intervals after starting?
I sent an email to Pumpkin support but they do not reply, so I am trying my luck here...
Do I have a faulty unit or is there a fix that can be applied?
Plese note that I am a bit of an Android noob.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Pumpkin Android 7.1 does not update time
Thanks for the reply Jammy,
That does look like my issue. I did search for time issues but obviously did not come across that one. Forrest and trees spings to mind.
Unfortunately I don't have any smd resistors or any soldering utensils so the unit will have to go back for a replacement. Still have not heard back from support regarding the issue. Makes me wonder if it was a good idea to buy from Pumpkin in the first place. Shame because they are generally regarded very highly.
Thanks again.
