Hi,
i'm using the radio since a few days. Android and my apps are running great - nice radio.
I'm driving the whole time with low beam light, so the automatic night/day brightness doesn't work (night brightness set to max, brightness also).
I tried a few apps who change the brightness to the daytime ("auto brightness manager" and my car launcher"car launcher pro"). But this apps doesnt work
The apps are trying to change the brightness, but fail. All permissions are given.
Any idea?
Thank you, Thomas
Brightness apps on AE0273b
Re: Brightness apps on AE0273b
Hi,
when you turn on the car light ,the unit will automatically become dark (if you don't want this function, you can plug out the unit and cut off the wire which labelled "ILL").
You can also change the brightness adjustment by entering settings - factory settings(126)- others - brightness adjustment option and set the parameter as you want .

@Jammy, I think this is not the answer to the question Thomas asked for.
As I do, Thomas drives with headlights on also on daylight.
I f we just use the automatic switch the unit is all day long in night mode.... not really comfortable.
That there is no app to change the brightness is (from my side of view) done with fully intention. The Android API for brightness uses:
/sys/class/backlight/rk28_bl/brightness
Instead of this regular path, the developer of the car unit ...for any reason...moved the brightness settings to:
/sys/class/backlight/backlight/brightness
This is the reason that all brightness apps which are usibg the regular Android API are not working... the path is not available. So... nothing happens.
But there are good news:
If you use the FCC car launcher Pro, you are able to set the backlight dependent to the sun settings.

Great, thank you Regattoni, thats the solution for me. FCC works fine.
