Mounting screws

I just got the AE0273B-08A

My mounting harness is about 3mm thick and the screw holes in the head unit are depressed. So the screws that came with the unit will not reach the screw holes.

What are the specs / type of screws I need from the hardware store? I think the length will be about 7-8mm but what about the thread count and screw size (width). Thanks!
