IGO Nav freezes screen

I installed my unit this weekend(order # 100005423). My problem is when I try to use the IGO app for nav it freezes the screen and I have to force it closed. The screen says"The start point has disabled the GPS receiver". I have uninstalled the app with the sd card removed and then reinstalled the app from the sd card but this has not helped. Any ideas would be appreciated.
I would also like to know if the nav app can be used offline without the use of wifi?

Hi, the preinstalled navi app is just used offline.
You can also use some other online maps, such as Google maps and waze.

Ok thanks, but why is it freezing the screen and how do i fix it?

Hi, normally the android unit rarely have this problem, maybe the unit runs navigation and other apps at the same time, then the system become a little delay or even stuck.
You can do a factory settings restore to check, then delete the old navigation app and reinstall it.
