Headrest Monitor Mounting

Postby riha » Mon Jul 03, 2017 10:52 pm

Hello Jammy,

on 29th April I ordered a 9" TFT-LCD Digital Headrest Monitor DVD Player from pumpkin18de (Artikelnummer 282290337228).
I installed the headrest strictly according to the manual.
Meanwhile the headrest player has fallen down while I was driving along normal streets at least two times(without racing, acceleration or sudden stops) . :(
What´s the result, in the case of an accident? I don´t want to imagine, what the monitor will do to a passenger sitting in the font of my car.

The earlier versions of the headrest monitor had a screw (I think to fix them tightly).
Now this screw is missing and the connection between the monitor and the headrest is very loose. The fixing knob is not strong enough to prevent the monitor from flying away.

Have you got any suggestions?

Greetings
Richard

Hi,
it seems that the screw is loosen. You can fix this as follows:

Second, remove the cover, tighten the screws so it won't fall down

Hello Jammy,

that is not the problem. These screws are all fixed strongly enough.
Maybe I´ve expressed myself not correctly.
The problem is the connection beetween these two parts:

If you close the knob of the first one it seems that it hasn´t got enough pressure to the "stairs-like" side of the other part.

I´m quite near to drill a hole through both parts to fix them tightly with a screw.
But then I will have a fixed position without any variability. Anyway I could be sure that the monitor wouldn´t slip out of its position again.

Regards
Richard

Hi,
When after installation, you should pull the clip to the left to lock the "stairs-like" so it won't slip outward, but it can still push inward。

Of course I´ve pulled the clip to the left.
But anyway it slips outward with little amount of power.
The pressure to keep it inward is not high enough.
For me the only way to fix it safely is really to drill a hole through it and fix it with a screw.
I don´t find any other solution to this problem.
