I have just recently purchased this unit for my Mazda 3 and would like to know if there is any updates for android IE 5.1 and if there is any further updates for the iGO GPS software.

Is it possible to get a better/more informed user manual than the Android one sent with the unit.

could you please tell us your order number or buyer ID?
The new android 5.1 has been released, but sorry that the android 4.4 unit don't support to be updated directly to android 5.1.
Normally if we get the new free maps from factory, we can send the link to you, and you just need to download and use it.
Cause the user manual is used for a kind of items provided by the same supplier, if you have any using question about the unit, please tell us, we can give you detailed answer.

I was just wondering about the hardware compatibilities a bit.
I would like to know what type of SD card and what is the maximum the the unit can recognize in size.

Hi, our unit can support up to 32GB sd card/USB stick, you can check from our website.
And the SD card type is as the below picture show, you can use it to play music or install app, hope some help.
