ND294B Firmware 2019

I have a newly acquired ND294B with android 8.0.0 although it was supposed to have 8.1. The stereo gets into an update loop every time the Google services library updates. I have factory reset several times and have also tried the kupdate.zip file as a solution found in this forum. The result however was still the same, after updating Google play services and shutting the stereo off it will loop on the next usage. Is there a solution to this?
