Can't pair Pumpkin bluetooth ODB2 with Pumpkin Head Unit

I bought the "Pumpkin OBD2 ELM327 Bluetooth Car Scanner-Torque Diagnostic Auto Scan Tool" with the "Pumpkin Android 5.1 Lollipop Double Din Car Stereo 7 inch Auto Radio..." (Amazon ordernr: 205-1151432-7912348 ), but it won't pair with it.

The ODB2 scanner is shown as "CAFU" in the bluetooth app and settings, but when I press connect.. nothing happens.
The head unit doesn't show a field to put in the pairing code when I press on connect, like on my android phone.
So I've set the head unit pairing code to 1234 (this code works when I tried the ODB2 scanner with my phone), but still nothing.

I already tried the instructions by Jammy from other topics, with engine running and off, but that also doesn't work.
A WiFi scanner is not an option, because I use the WiFi on the HU to connect to my phone for internet and only one WiFi connection is possible.

And please follow the below steps and double check it.

1.Change the paired password from 0000 to 1234,then unplug the OBDII;
2.Go to the "settings"->"backup&reset" and do the "factory data reset"
3.uninstall the old "torque", install the torque from "OEM";
4.plug the OBDII again,then pair it with the new password (1234) via Bluetooth,open the new installed torque and check.

Hi, sorry for the late reply due to the weekend.
When we tested the OBD2 Bluetooth in our lab, sometime it connected to the unit after we tried several times.
Even the OBD2 Bluetooth did not connected until the unit was rebooted or factory setting was restored, could you please check it?
And if this still does not help, would you mind take a video to help us check?
Cause from your description about the OBD2 Bluetooth, it could work with your phone, and the unit also worked with your phone via Bluetooth.
We will try to find if there is another solution.

Hi,
I am having the same problem. The head unit connects ok but when trying to pair does not ask for a code but if i pair with my phone it asks for a code. I have tried deleting the bluetooth connection and starting again.
What is the final cure? As this should not be that hard.

Hi,
Could you please tell us if you bought the Bluetooth OBD2 from us?
Normally our Bluetooth OBD2 pair with our unit without a code.
If you can connect your phone to our unit, and the OBD2 also connects to your phone, but the OBD2 could not connect to our unit.
It's the OBD2 not compatible with our unit. Sorry about it.

Hello, I think I have the same problem:

Radio: 7-inch Android 5.1 Flush panel unit: 11RQ0269EDEA (order 500000814)
OBD II dongle: New Mini OBD-2 OBD II V1.5 Bluetooth Diagnostic Interface Scanner GS-Y0004 (order 500000851)

If I try to connect with the head unit, nothing happens. See this video clip: . The OBD2 dongle connects to my phone OK, and Torque works fine on my phone too. But not to the head unit. Any idea what I should do to let the OBD2 dongle connect to my head unit? Thanks for your help!

Hi Christian,
For the OBD2 dongle problem, please press the RST hole, and don't connect your phone to unit via bluetooth.
Please check the pair password of your OBD2 dongle.
