Hello,
today I had a problem with my radio - it doesn't start or did anything. So I checked the wires, fuses etc. Then I used the instructions from this site: (situation 2). I connected red with yellow and then I could boot up the headunit. So I think the Can bus decoder is broken.
The typeplate reads this:
CAN BUS DECODE
NO: VW-RZ-07 160407
SW: VC1110 HW: V0.3 145485
FOR: High low speed compatible
And it has a 16pin connection.
(I have a Skoda Octavia II facelift Combi 2.0TDI 140PS build 2010/2011)
My amazon order no was 304-1594847-9533116
Can you sent me a new one?
Thank you for any contact and help.

Re: Headunit C0356/11-RQ0356E problem CAN bus
Ok. Thanks I have contacted the support in germany.
Anyway I have made a measurement and checked Yellow to ground = 12Volt and Red to ground = 8,6 Volt. All with the power cable with canbus adapter.
So the canbus adapter gives only 8,6Volt to the radio on the red cable. I have opened the canbus box and it seemed fine (could not see any damages.
Is this a general indications, that the canbus adapter is defect? Or is there a chance to fix this?

Hi,
From your description, the problem is with the canbus adapter since you can boot up the radio by connecting red and yellow cable. You can contact the support. They may offer you more detailed instructions. Thanks for your attention.
Have a nice day!
Sincerely,
Jam

Re: Headunit C0356/11-RQ0356E problem CAN bus
Hello again,
I have asked the support several times to make an offer for the canbus decoder box. But the support (support.de <support.de@autopumpkin.com>) told me that the radio was bought 3 years ago and the unit isn't produced since then.
Is there a chance to buy this decoder from a shop or just get any help what I can do (I have just used the "standard" wiring but I need the canbus signals).
Thank you.
