Random Loss of USB connectivity (AS0272B)

I brought a AS0272B last month and have notice a problem with it,
It randomly loses USB connectivity, I noticed it at first while playing some music from an usb memory drive.
Now I have a usb internet dongle in one of the usb cables and it also loses the usb randomly.

When it loses the USB the only way to get them to working again is to unplug what ever you have in the usb slot and plug it in again.
Is this a common problem ?
Is there a fix for it ?

We suggest try another USB drive,a new one.
And tell us the results.

Ok I have tried a new usb drive in this head unit.

The other usb drive I have put in my wifes car with an kenwood head unit in it and now that usb drive is playing up which never had a problem with it before, So I thought ok it must just be a bad usb drive.

The new usb dirve in the pumpkin unit has been working fine for the last week and today on the way home from work its dead, I unplugged it and plugged it back in and it dead, the light blinks onces and thats it. unplugged it and tried the other usb connection and still the same dead.

Do you think this unit is killing the usb drives maybe to much voltage runnng though them ?

The car radio will not damage the USB, the USB interface output current maximum is 500ma 5V.
You can check the current if convenient.

Well whats the chance of 2 good brand usb drvies failing ? I think there is something wrong with this heat unit.
I have contacted support and just waiting for a reply.

the problem is getting worst now the system is rebooting itself. Its done it about 10 times today within an hour.

Any one know that the password is to reset to factory setting?

Update,

Ok had to wait about a month or 2 for a new motherboard (which turned out a second hand one) for the system.
Installed it and still doing them same thing very annoying :evil:
