Hello,
First post here. Searched and searched for topics similar to mine. I have also reached out to customer support (support.us@autopumpkin.com) but they haven't been very helpful other than to tell me to make a video of my problem and upload it to YouTube or email it to them.
This is the unit I purchased.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KZL2YNM/
The issue I am having is that my Android phone pairs and connects to the bluetooth just fine. When I receive a phone call, the bluetooth app opens -- the person on the other side can hear me, but I cannot hear them. With the volume up all the way (25) I can barely hear them. The same low volume issue happens with bluetooth music app. I have tried several Android phones and there is the same issue. The low volume issue has always occurred since I purchased the unit a few months back. I have entered the factory settings in the unit and changed the bluetooth profile and raised the pre-set volume to max... still low volume.
I purchased a bluetooth dongle from Amazon that plugs into the AUX port of the head unit. If I enter the AVIN mode of the unit, then bluetooth works fine along with the volume. This is not a satisfactory fix though as I have to enter into AVIN, answer the call, then exit out. Pumpkin support thinks I am happy with this temporary fix, but I am not...
Can someone tell me if they think this is a hardware issue (bluetooth receiver component) or a software one? I have asked support if it could be a bad firmware or MCU causing it, but no answer.
Also, does anyone know if there is a bluetooth app that I can install on the head unit that will override the existing bluetooth app and maybe see if the volume issue goes away? What about installing one of the Car Launcher Apps from Google Play that would control the bluetooth for phone calls and music? Any suggestions?
Pumpkin support tells me the unit is under warranty and it could be replaced... but to send back the unit and receive another will probably take weeks.
Thanks!

Hi,
This car stereo need an Autoplay Dongle to view and control your phone on the car stereo screen.
It can work with Maps/ Music/ Phone Call.
That's right. If you want to replace a new one, you can contact Amazon customer service or derectly send email to support.us@autopumpkin.com.
Thank you

Hi Jammy,
I don't want to use Android Auto... I don't want to use voice commands to make calls... I don't want to mirror my screen. I just want my stereo to be able to connect to my phone when there is a call and people can hear me and I can hear them. This unit has bluetooth, it has the bluetooth app and bluetooth music app. The stereo connects to my phone, I can make phone calls and it can answer calls -- that is what bluetooth is for. The issue is the volume is not working and the sound through my speakers is too low and cannot be increased. I think you are confusing the issue I am having and what I want my phone and stereo to do.

Hi,
I am sorry for mistaking your issue.
First, you need to turn louder your phone volume.
And then open the setting- car setting- factory setting- enter password 126- sound- turn louder the bluetooth volume- save.

Re: 10.1" PX30 Android 8.1 unit - Bluetooth sound very low, almost non-existent
I did all that... no effect. I've tried changing the volume in the factory settings to the max volume -- which I believe is 20. I turn the volume all the way up on my phone and max out the bluetooth to 30 using the stereo volume and I can barely hear the audio in the right front speaker of my truck.... with the volume that loud I can hear the buzzing in all the other speakers which will happen when you turn volume all the way up with no sound.
Volume in all other modes (Radio, Video, Aux, Music) all work well... its the bluetooth audio that does not work. I am thinking the bluetooth component is deflective in the stereo unit. Anything that connects to bluetooth does not have audio output.

I tried my wife's phone and my daughter's phone... both android phones. Both have the same symptom... easily pair and connect but the volume that comes through the phone is extremely low even with phone volume maxed out and the stereo unit volume maxed out.
It's not the phone(s).... it's the stereo.

Hello all ,
I just wanted to let you know that i have the same problem as described in this tread.
BT : Phone calls
All BT functions work , but caller sound is so silent that you barely hear it.
I tried to go in the systems settings ( code 8888 ) and uptuned both Phone and BT volume , makes almost no difference.
BT music is perfect
I use this radio
https://www.autopumpkin.com/products/an ... ing-camera
I use an Huawei P20 PRO phone.
I have connected only 2 speakers , the REAR speakers
Happy to share further info , test or to share a solution when i would find one myself.

Hi,
Please check whether the speaker cable is connected properly.
For Bluetooth calls, only the front speaker can make a sound.
It needs to connect the front speaker cable.
