The first problem is I need to identify the unit as I purchased it second hand. There are no identifing numbers on the unit but here is the 'Device Info Screen' Info
HMI: ZF010.1.1 15.07.23.13.30
MCU: ZF801.141020(02)
MEDIA: MMP 2015.5.6.10.18
NKV A10.2.0 2015.05.22.10.58
BTV BT201506100912 (A4:D7:16:A8:09:33)
DVD ROM: 13.42.1.FLASH.1200XH.c.0.
The reason I believe it's a AutoPumkin is that it matches many pictures on your forum like this one
and the passwords associated with it works .
Factory Settings Password: 3711
Logo Password 8888
The problem I'm having, after a year of working is that 40-60% of the time it just 'boot loops' when started.- Start car - Logo appears on unit for a minute - Reboots, and repeats over and over.
Things I've tried
- Confirmed wiring
- Pulling fuse to reset (doesn't help)
- reset with pin push reset
- reset to default settings (when I had access)
- holding eject at start up
- removing SD cards
My car is a 2010 Toyota Rav4 without JBL.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Boot Loop problem, but first need help to identity unit
Hi,
Our head units are all with an SKU.
Can you find it?
The SKU label on the back of the radio or on the package box. You can check it.
And what's the Android version of your unit?
Thank you
Jammy

Hi Jammy, thanks for the reply
No Android version, It's a WinCe unit as far as I can tell.
Also pulled the unit out and there is only two stickers, one with the wiring diagram and the other a void sticker?

Hi,
What's the WinCE version of your unit?
If you are sure that this is a Pumpkin car stereo, you can try to update the firmware.

After decompressing, the file is placed in the root directory of the sd card. Insert the GPS card slot and restart the car.
Thank you
Jammy

Re: Boot Loop problem, but first need help to identity unit
Jammy
I'm not 100% sure this is a Pumpkin unit, I'm only going by the screen shots on this site that match mine. If I update the firmware and it's not a Pumpkin will it damage it?
If I open the unit up and get numbers off the motherboard will that help identify it?
As for knowing it's a WinCe, I can see the windows desktop briefly appear when exiting the navigation.
I've tried getting WR_tools to work to get more information but I'm having no luck. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
Because it is still risky to update firmware, if you do not confirm it is a Pumpkin unit, pls do not update the firmware.
Thank you

Re: Boot Loop problem, but first need help to identity unit
Hi Jammy
No matter how much I search online I can't seem to identify this unit. I've officialy given up and purchased a new unit, this one is going in the garbage. Just wanted to come on here and thank you for trying to help. You were one of the very few to actually respond and I appreciate it.
Thanks
