Mic does not work

Hello,

I purchased a px5 android 9 headunit via amazon. I ve installed it into the car. So far it works except the microphones.

Both, internal and external have a very low signal. I ve installed recording software and it shows a very low level. Even when overriding the automatic gain control with a fixed amplifier value it does not work properly. I did all kinds of tests, it always records a dead sound. I ve to turn the volume up to the max to even hear the recording.

Can you help me with this issue?

Hello,

Our technical team said if the external microphone is connected normally, the sound will be louder.
If the external microphone is connected, there is no difference at all. You can try another external microphone.

ok, a 2nd time:

1st test - internal microphone ONLY: recording sound level very low <- THIS has to work

2nd test - internal and external microphone: recording level very low (independend if speaking directly into the internal or external microphone)

How to fix this? Testing with another external microphone won t fix the internal microphone!


If the microphones do not work the radio is useless because:

- hands free dialing and calling does not work
- handsfree searching and using the navigation does not work
