Bluetooth internet sharing
Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
On another note I cannot seem to be able to shut the unit down. Im sure I did it before by just holding down the power button and choosing the shutdown option, this no longer seems to be the case. I would like to be able to get into recovery which I cannot do if I cannot manually turn it on. As opposed to it coming on automatically with the ignition.
Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
Hi,
About the buttons no longer light up, you can go to the Settings--Factory settings--others to set the Key light "ON".
About the unit shutting down, normally it will remember the last time when you turn it off manually or directly pull out of the key.
If you pull out of the key when it's working, then it will turn on when you insert the key and turn it to ACC or ON again.
Regards

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
I am aware of that option in factory settings, it will leave the lights permanently on which I prefer not to do, especially if they used to work. I understand how the unit remembers its last state but the problem is I cannot shut it down, only put it into standby. The option to shutdown appears to be missing, My only other option is to remove it and manually disconnect it, again something I would rather not do if I dont have to.
The reason I want to shut it down is so that I can boot it into recovery, I intend to flash a different rom and want to ensure I can get into recovery in case it goes wrong.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
Hi,
Sorry for the trouble caused.
This unit should be shut down with pressing the power button, could you please tell us if you set the "Shutdown delay when ACC OFF"?
You can hold the power button and press the RST hole at the same time, keep about 3-5 seconds, then release the RST hole, loose the power button, then the unit will get into the recovery, you can try to check it.
Please notice, normally we don't suggest our client flash the different rom/MCU, cause it may bring problem on the unit, and sometime even if you flash the original rom back and there will still have problem can not be solved.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
The shutdown delay is set to 2 hours, I would like to set this for much longer if possible, 12 hours maybe? (this is one of the reasons I want a different rom).I will try the power and RST button later hopefully that works.
Do you have a solution to the button lights??
regards.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
Hi,
Could you please tell us the product SKU and the kind of your car?
The solution for the button lights problem is to modify the wire.
You can find the illumination wire from our power cable, then connect it directly to your car light positive pole.
And you need to enter the factory settings to cancel the Key light ON state.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
Hi, the SKU is KD-C0224+Y0803.
The button lights used to work, I don't understand what could have changed so that I have to rewire it. There is very little space behind my dash so this could be difficult.
My car is a Seat Ibiza FR 2005.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
OK, the power button and rst will put the device in standby, it will not power down or go into recovery. Also all of the connections behind the unit are fine. I can only presume that this problem is a result of the recent update that you advised. Both of these features were functioning and appear to have stopped after the update. If you could provide me with a link to the previous rom then I can reflash it to confirm.
Regards.

Re: Bluetooth internet sharing
Hi,
Normally the update will not affect the functions using, but sometime it will bring problem after update.
Here is the link of the previous rom for your unit C0224.
