Unit randomly powers off after a while

Hi,

I bought a RQ0265E 10 inch head unit with your canbus cable Z0011, everything seems to work fine in the car radio, but it shuts down randomly, it shows the "Shutting down" info and goes black. I can tap the power button and then it comes back on, but its very annoying especially if I am using navigation, then after it powers off, the route is forgotten and music is off.

I have a friend with the exact same radio and canbus cable, we tried to switch the radios to see if it was related to the canbus cable, but the failure followed the radio, so its not a harness issue, its inside this specific unit.

My unit was bought from Amazon with the following order number: 205-9419330-5005944

Should I start a return ticket with Amazon or what to do?

Hi,
Sorry about this.
There are two way to solve the problem.
You can do a simple wire modification to make it work as it supposes.
Just cut the red wire from the power cable near to our unit side, don't let the red wire go through the Canbus box and connect it to your car cigar lighter positive pole or other ACC wire which is turned on/off with the ignition key.
Or we can send you another new canbus which fits your car from China. Normally it takes 12-20 business days to arrive.
