reversing camera .no reverse in wire

i have a pumpkin 4.4 android,trying to fit xtrons reversing camera in audi a3.i think i possibly need a relay for the camera to get around the canbus but so far ....nothing...there is no reverse in wire on the back of the unit, or do i only connect the yellow RCA connector.

Hi,
Could you please first tell us your order number or product SKU?
For the reversing camera, did you get the universal model reversing camera or use the original one?
If you bought the special head unit for your Audi A3, you don't need to connect the reverse in wire, cause it's integrated into the canbus box.
And please connect the yellow RCA connector and provide power for the reversing camera, then check if the unit will switch to the back image when you put your car into reverse.

hi,have had the camera working in reverse on another test screen which only uses the yellow rca plug.the problem is that i need to connect the signal wire off the rca lead(short red wire)to the pumpkin unit .there is no reverse in on the pumpkin harness on this 4.4 android dab PUMPKIN STEREO for audi a3 .. only the pink BRAKE wire left .....so how do i connect it to the unit...do i cut into one of the wires that goes to the canbus box .can you tell me which wire will finally sort this problem out....
there is no sku code on the unit.it was bought as a present so i have the box, all the pumpkin manuals ,everything ....except the order number.
please can you help

Hi,
You can try to cut the reverse detective wire through Can-bus box and connect it to the thin red reverse wire together with the camera RCA cable.
Here is a picture for your reference, hope some help.

Hi .just connected the wire and the camera came on in reverse.but as soon as the engine turned on .the camera went off. .now what do I try ..

Hi would a connection from the rear reversing light +12v to the relay that supplied a constant +12v to the camera also be used to supply the red lead on the RCL lead which will connect to the reverse in lead on the unit.as it seems like a voltage drop stopping it fully working. As as soon as the ignition is turned onto position 2.it exits the screen off to the right.or does it need an noise suppressor inline to clean up the signal.cheers steve

Looked on the link and the relay set up is like what I have done using a constant voltage switched through the relay but it still has the problem that it won't stay on the screen when the engine is on.so I have connected the red wire on the rca cable to the switched 12v constant same as the camera ....and it all worked even the radio turns down when you select reverse ..I hope this helps someone as it has really got on my nerves lol
