Hi.

I have a problem with my 27-AQVW71-UK-A and the 3G modem I bought. It connects after 5-10 minutes. I have reset the unit 4 times and hoped that it will be ok, but problem continues.

Same 3G USB, i used it on a autopumpkin 4.4 unit i had, and the connection was ready after 2-3 mins maximum.

There is a new update firmware for your unit, if you don't mind, please try to flash the unit to check.

Please download the "VW force update" rar file through your browser, unzip it, then open it and copy the three folder from the unzipped VW force update file. Please use a USB stick to copy the three folder, then plug the USB stick into the rear USB cable.

Thanks. Few technical questions...

USB, needs a special format ? (NTFS / FAT32) ?

The files from zip, are to be copied on root folder of USB ?


After I copy, I just plug it and it will automatically update? OR I have to restart or open an application ?

Hi,
The USB stick don't need the special format, the FAT32 is just ok.
You need to unzip the download file, copy the the three files from the unzipped folder root inventory.
After you use the USB stick to copy the three files, just plug it, then the unit will automatically update.

I did the update, but still it does'nt connect. Yesterday I was in my car waiting 15 minutes.

The 3G modem was on dash, so there was no obstruction and the reception is perfect (5/5 bars on my phone on 3G)

I am very very frustrated, as the only reason I bought it, is to hear music from internet, and read emails. And I cannot do any of those two !

Sorry about this.
As you said before, the unit can go to the internet with 3G modem connection, it just takes a little longer than your another android 4.4 unit.
Please use an USB stick to check if the unit could play music without any problem through USB cable.
It seems that the transmission between the unit and 3G modem perform badly.
That's not a serious problem for most clients, cause this unit has built in wifi, and you can use it to connect the internet.
If you bought the unit only for 3G function, you may choose to exchange another kind of our units, please contact our customer service.

I think I found what is the problem.

On the computer, when I install application, i have option to change APN. The default for Vodafone GR is "internet.vodafone.gr" . I need to change that to "internet" , as I was instructed by Vodafone support.

So, how can I change the APN please ?

Sorry for the late reply due to the weekend.
There is not the APN setting option on our unit, you may need to change it on you computer.
Here is a tutorial video about how to use the 3G dongle and change the PIN on PC, hope some help.

After searching I found out what I think is the problem...

If I start the engine and the 3G USB modem is ALREADY plugged in, it connects after 10-15 minutes..
If I start the engine and I connect the 3G modem 5-10 seconds after the switch on, it connect is 3 minutes.


That is problem, as I want to hide the 3G modem !!!

Also everytime I connect it, i have ES explorer open and my Radio app, stopping working !

For the problem you described, when we test the 3G USB modem, this problem did not happen.
