Postby lamberps » Thu Dec 29, 2016 11:51 am

Hi,

I was the lucky recipient of one of these for xmas which is now installed, but when I open the doors they until displays the wrong door (right hand drive car). I've set the rudder option in settings but it makes no difference.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi,
Sorry for the trouble caused.
For the issue you had, please install the update firmware to solve it.
https://mega.nz/#!ZYFCGIZY!vlVpc2S_zPiz ... xD2mRZkC60
Please download through your browser, copy the update.img file to an empty sd card with FAT32 format, insert the sd card to GPS slot.
Turn on the radio, please enter the setting—about machine, and click the system updates and the unit will automatically detect and popup the update window. Choose to wipe all the data, then the unit will finish the process.
Regards

Hi, that worked thanks. One minor thing is that during startup I now get dancing androids and can't change the boot logo. I set it to the one I one, press apply several times, exit and reboot but doesn't take. Any ideas ?

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply due to the New Year's Day holiday.
For the boot logo settings, you need go to the factory settings--car logo to set "Logo Animation one", then choose the car logo you like.
Click Apply and Exit, then you will get the logo you set during startup.

One last question, should the unit display any Radio, SD card, CD info in the MFD other than track number when playing SD card for example ?

My previous stereo would display name of the track, etc.

Thanks

Hi,
This unit can display the radio, SD card and CD info in the MFD, but there is a little difference compared to your original radio, it does not to display the music name, sorry about this.

That's ok thanks.....as long as I know.

One final question (sorry) but since fitting this unit my car battery has gone flat twice. The second time may be because I didn't charge it enough but have there been any known issues of this kind ?

Hi,
Could you please check if the unit will turn off automatically when you pull out of the ignition key?
And you can use the power cable without canbus, cut the red wire and directly connect it to your car cigar lighter positive pole, then check if your car battery still go flat.

Yes the unit does power off when the key is removed and sorry, it's supposed to be a plug and play unit - should I really be cutting wires on the canbus cable, etc ?

The whole idea of purchasing this unit was to integrate with the canbus as if it was a factory fit unit.............
