RQ0278 - Android 5.1 unit, AF radio not working

Less than one month ago I bought an unit RQ0278 with CPU Intel SofiaG3, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of flash with Android 5.1
Everything seems ok except the radio for which I can totally confirm that AF functionality is not working at all. If the AF is disabled, nothing happen, the radio station remains at same frequency also when becoming poor in reception as normally expected. If the AF is turned ON, when the signal become poor, the tuner start for a scan but he's never able to find an alternative frequency, most of the times he return to the original frequency, sometimes in another frequency totally indipendent with the original one!!!

In addition, maybe for the same reason for wich AF is not working, also the RDS is unuseful because if an RDS station has been stored in one of the 18 memories, example in position 1, when I try to select it in a location where the station is not available, the memory 1 looses the name of station. In practice the RDS is usefull only remaining always in the same area!!!!

I'm convinced that is not an hardware problem but "only" a software bug.

So I ask to Pumpkin a quick support to provide an upgrade able to solve this serious problem.

Sorry for the delay reply due to the weekend.
For the AF and RDS issue, the radio function may don't perform as good as it's supposed.
Please try to turn off the AF function when the radio station become poor, then search the station manually and check if you can find the alternative frequency station.
For the RDS station, sorry for my poor understanding. Would you mind take a short video to help us check?

I just bought an android 4.4.4 version for my bimmer e46, and I have the same problem. The AF simply does not work, and the RDS just vanishes every time I move from one region to another.

Is there any software update available to correct this?

I also see this problem of a not working AF function.
Since I am not the only one, can it be that this is not just a hardware issue but more a software bug?
They told me to send the unit back, but can we please try first a software upgrade?

I'm back again with my AF problem!
I updated my unit with last december 2016 android firmware and MCU with last 2.04 firmware. Nothing changed, AF and RDS still same behaviour!
I'm starting to suspect an instrinsec hardware issue

I already tried to select AF, PTY, REG on and off, modifiy the region in factory menu, nothing changed!

Pleae to give some support to solve the issue
