Bad radio reception AQVW71

Hallo,

i need your help.

The radio reception ist not satisfactorily. The transmitter rushing what was not before with the original radio. I have an antenna booster brought but there is also no improvement.

Now I ask myself the question whether I wrongly connected (i connect with Power ant enna)- so with the amplifier or the radio has an internal defect.

Hi,
The aftermarket radio reception can hardly perform as well as the original one on VW car, sorry about this.
If your antenna booster come with an amplifier power wire, please connect it to 12V Power wire in the back of the unit or ACC wire of your car.
And please tell us your order number or buyer ID, we can also send you a FM radio booster adapter to check.

i know that ist the reception is not so good as the original, but the reception now ist really bad.

I had issues with my radio reception, I ordered a Pumpkin booster but it made the reception worse so they refunded my money for the booster without question. I then purchased a Connects2 CT27AA56 VW Golf VI Twin Double Fakra-Din Aerial Antenna Adaptor from eBay (a lot cheaper than other stores) and the reception is almost as good as the original now. Not sure if it will help you but it resolved my radio reception issue.

A question with which cable at the radio you have connected the blue power cable from the adapter?

It needs a 12v connection so I used the 12v wire which is 21 on the wiring diagram from link below.



From searching the web it says use p.cont which is given power when the radio is on and is blue but my head unit doesn't have that connection so the 12v was the next best thing. Works great on mine.

when i use the 12v cable you say, It can be that the battery thereby becomes empty because current runs even if the car is off?

Without taking radio out again I cannot be sure but I did use a voltage tester to make sure it was live only when radio was on.
