Ford Mondeo Mk4 Ghia (2008) Estate Wheel Phone Stalk Not Connecting

Hi can anyone help, I've got the 5.5 Pumkin head unit installed but the phone call selection stalk (left hand side of steering wheel) doesn't seem to operate anymore, It works fine when connected to the standard Sony head unit, but nothing when new head unit fitted. If someone can offer any advise I'd be very greatful.

Order number - 100001847
The steering wheel buttons volume up & down/search and selection all work as before, the problem is for the left hand side stalk of steering wheel which operated the cars voice commands for climate control/fan speed and the phone call answer/dial selection options, will not operate with the Pumpkin unit connection block. I re connected the Sony head unit to double check and the stalk functioned as normal, it can only be some connection/'s in the large quick connection block to the Pumpkin head unit, If anyone can help to resolve the connection problem I would be very grateful.

Hi,
Sorry that this unit does not support your original on-baord computer control, it can only work with the buttons volume up & down/search and selection.
The Sony head unit should be your original radio, and it can support all the steering wheel buttons no matter the left hand side stalk or the right hand side stalk.

Thanks for a quick reply, it is very much appreciated, the Pumpkin head unit is great by the way, it was well worth upgrading from the Sony unit that was installed. Thanks for the great community online support there is so much for everyone to browse through for all kinds of issues and multiple brains to try and resolve things.
