# For now solved # * PLEASE HELP * - Reverse polarity in Pumpkin. # Solved #

Postby sergioppc » Mon Jan 23, 2017 12:59 am

Hello, I need your help.
I send my car to repaired, and when I received the car the radio was broken.

They said that turning on the battery they turned the polarity, and I opened the radio and had a burned component.

Needed to identify the component that is missing in L1.

Can someone confirm by an equal radio please?
Or someone know where I can get the scheme/diagram of this radio?

Thanks for all the help you can give me.

Hi,
After discussing your issue with our engineer, it's possible that the circuit board was short out, which leads the L1 component part burned.
We are not sure where the correct short circuit place on the main board.
You'd better return it back to us for repair.
Or if you don't mind, please just use a wire to lead one side of inductance L1 to the other.
If the unit still does not work normally, please return it back for repair.
Regards

Hi,
You need to contact our customer service to return it back for repair.
Cause you did not bought the unit directly from us, and we don't know if the warranty of the unit is still valid.
You may not only need to pay the return shipping cost, and also you may have to pay the replacement part cost. All these will cost about help price of a new released unit, I don't think it's a good idea.
I suggest you buy a new more functional and more high android version from us.
If you still want to return the unit back to us for repair, please send email to "autopumpkin@gmail.com"
Regards

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply due to the Chinese New Year's Day.
The new main board cost 100USD, including the shipping cost.
You can also choose to return the broken main board back to us, I think this is the best way.
Cause you just need to pay the shipping cost.
Once you make your decision, please contact our customer service colleague and attach this post.
Regards

Hello Jammy and all users,

In this post I bring good news.
After analyzing the power circuit on the motherboard, I came to the conclusion that it had only one faulty electrolytic capacitor.

I replace the capacitor (100μF - 10V), I made the shunt at the L1 location, and it was time to turn on the radio.
There was light and the system started.

Nearly solved fault.

Jammy, now at the L1 location what inductor should I need put? Is it possible to obtain a reference value so that I can buy in the local electronics market and restore the motherboard in full operation?

Hi,
I am sorry to tell you that i don't know what kind of inductor you need .
If you don't want to return it,you can short circuit the L1.
Regard
