Jammy,
My RQ0278E is rebooting when the car is started (but only after about 10 minutes).
2 examples below:
1/ If i'm using the stereo during a drive and then stop, turn engine off...wait few minutes and start back up, the stereo will fast boot and i have the radio on again within about 5 seconds.
2/ If i'm using the stereo during a drive and then stop, turn engine off...wait roughly 10 minutes and start back up, the stereo will flash white for a split second and then do a full reboot so it's not usable for 30-40 seconds.
I have installed the latest MCU and firmware updates that you have made available on the forum but these have not solved the issue at all.
When the system is working, it's working well though....I have no recepetion issues with Radio or DAB, wifi works great and the response of the stereo is perfectly adequate......if you could please just help with this non fast boot issue it would be appreciated.
RQ0278E - Reboot
Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Hi,
Could you please tell us what kind of your car and if your used the adapter to make your car work?
Normally this unit RQ0278 will fast boot after you first install and turn on it.
The fast boot function is related to the yellow memory wire which should has a few current (below 10mA) even if you pull out the car key.
Regards

Hi Jammy,
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
This is a 2014 Mazda 6. The yellow battery wire has a constant 12v output (Checked with multimeter) and the red wire has a switched 12v with the ignition button.
I am using a 'connects2' wiring harness adaptor, so no wire splicing involved here.....also no canbus adaptor involved in the setup at all. Straight wiring from car to stereo.

Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
oh, and to confirm (because this was mentioned in another post with a similar problem), when my unit reboots, it DOES NOT lose all of the settings like time, radio stations etc!
The yellow, 12V constant wire is properly connected

Also already applied.
Re: RQ0278E - Reboot
Hi,
I have tested the fast boot function in the below situation.
Power on the unit, it takes about 20 seconds to start. Then I turned it off, and reboot it again.
It just take less than 5 seconds to enter the main menu.
Then I cut the ACC wire, wait for nearly two hours, after that, I reconnect the ACC wire, and the unit reboot at once.
So the unit worked as it should.
The unit you had may be faulty, as you said the rest of the functions are working, I think this is not a serious problem.
Sorry for the unexpected trouble brought to you.
