WIFI/Bluetooth Problem

Postby noxesta » Sat Feb 11, 2017 12:47 pm

Hello Pumpkin Team,

my problem with the headunit is that the Wifi is not connecting. Connection works sometimes when the hotspot is activated bevor the headunit is powered. In this case i can also disconnect and reconnect until bluetooth is also connected. After bluetooth there is no wifi connection possible.
First I have switched back to factory settings then changed to malaysk rom from xda and also updated the mcu file. Tried pumpkin rom file again, but the problem still exists. Wifi optimation and avoid poor connections is enabled.

I have purchased the android 4.4 headunit for Opel on ebay in June 2015. The order number is 181632736910.
Label shows KDC0411.

Hi,
With respect of your description, the wifi issue is related to the Bluetooth connection and disconnection.
Could you please use your phone to share the hot spot and connect it to check?
And please tell us if the USB function works as it should.
Regards

I have measured 5.2 - 5.2 Volts on USB Port. Attached USB stick is recognised by head unit.

I have tried to connect WIFI. During the first try the head unit shows the hotspot but does not connect.
In the second try it switches after a about 1 minute to "authenticating" and 30 seconds later to "getting IP address". Some time late it shows the available disconnected hotspot. I retry to connect there is no reaction.

Hi,
As the result you described, the USB port don't have problem.
The wifi and bluetooth issue, you can flash the unit with the below firmware to check.

Hi Jammy,
i have tested your firmware from the download, but the WIFI did not connect to the hospot. It is switching between obtaining IP adress and authentication. I tryed the mobile hotspot with my notebooks without problem.
I have ordered a USB Wifistick today. Can I use it in this state or only with total disabled internal WIFI module?

Regards

Hi,
The wifi connection may be weak due to the limitation effective range.
And the wifistick will work only when the internal WFi module disabled.
